Top newborn products
Below are just a few baby products that came to mind when I thought above new mom’s and what they should want/need with their newborns. I know there is so much out there when it comes to baby products, but after having two kids already I truly think less is more. Babies ultimately don’t need as much as you’d think and especially if this isn’t your first… I hope you kept a lot of your newborn items from your first..or second:) We haven’t had to purchase a whole lot besides clothes for this little girl on the way, which has been so nice!
I had gotten the All Seasons one when I was pregnant with Asher and haven’t used any other carrier with either of my boys. I started my boys in them when they were newborns and you can continue using it up until 45 lbs. Plus there are so many different ways to carry your baby in it.
I love this breathable cover for breastfeeding. It can also be used as an infant car seat cover…light weight and perfect, especially for the summer months.
Now this isn’t the exact playmat I have but I recommend getting a nice one so if you have multiple kids they can all use the same one:)
Both my boys didn’t sleep through the night until they were about 6 months old but once I transitioned them to this sleep suit around 3 months they definitely slept longer stretches and slept more comfortably , with less reflex. Plus they look so stinking cute and kind of silly in them.
I don’t think I have ever blanket swaddled my babies. I didn’t really ever learn how and I didn’t have the patience sometimes. These halo sleep sacks are perfect to start your newborns in. They feel tight and secure..plus its just an easier way to swaddle them.
We have one in both boys rooms and love it. We get notifications on both Adam and I’s phone whenever there is movement. It is a super clear camera and you can see all three rooms at one time the app. Our sitter can pull the app up on our iPad if she is there for nap time or bed time. We also bought a cheap Vtech sound only monitor for baby girl because we start our babies in their cribs right away at night and sometimes the Nest can go to a blank screen after so many hours so this way we can hear her at all times for night wakings/feedings.
These wighted sleep sacks are nice as well. I tried them with Hudson and he seemed to like them and feel comforted by the weight. Great transition from swaddling, super easy to put on, (just wear a long sleeve onesie underneath) and easy for night time diaper changes.
I have used mine with both boys and love it for nursing. Once your babe can sit up it can also work as a nice little backrest:)
I didn’t know about this until I had Hudson and realized how much milk I was wasting, especially those first couple months, from the breast he wasn’t nursing from. You can usually leak from the side the baby isn’t nursing on, and if you’re like me you can leak quite a bit. (And we all know how important it is to save as much breast milk as possible:)) Good thing they made this to catch the excess milk.
UPPAbaby Vista Double Stroller
Seriously the best purchase we made when I was pregnant with Hudson. It is such a great stroller for two little ones. There are different ways your kids can ride (front/back facing) in it and it pushes so easily (plus has storage underneath for everything).
Cheaper than the Dockatot and in my opinion works just as good. Plus, I love supporting MN made companies! They offer many cute color options for the cover too.
Medela Quick Clean Microsteam bags
Easy and convent way to clean all your breast pump parts, especially when you’re in a rush and don’t want to hand wash them all. Also, great for middle of the night pump sessions.
Hope these items are helpful for any new expecting moms or any moms in general. These are just a few baby products I have loved over the years:) Don't be afraid to ask any questions!
